Reliance Jio at its 41st AGM announced the new Jio Monsoon Hungama offer would allow the buyers to purchase a new JioPhone in return of any old feature phone. You have to pay Rs 501, submit your old feature phone at any nearby Jio store and the store will give you a new Jio Phone in return. Jio says that your new Jio Phone will come at just Rs 501 which is a very attractive price a “smart” feature phone like the JioPhone.
 A price of Rs 501 is quite a neat price for a feature phone that also gives you access to LTE aka 4G internet speed, and can now even run WhatsApp. But the important bit to note here is that this Rs 501 is non-refundable.

In other words, with the JioPhone Monsoon Hungama offer the JioPhone is no longer effectively free. So, once you have paid Rs 501 and have got the JioPhone, you won’t get it back, not after one nor two not even after three years unlike the Rs 1500 security deposit which is refundable after three years.
